Brighton hospital probed over forty alleged negligence-linked deaths

Effortless have launched an investigation into allegations of medical negligence on the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, East Sussex. The claims, which span a period of five years from 2015 to 2020, contain potential failings in neurosurgery and common surgical procedure. The hospital belief has confirmed its full cooperation with the investigation.
While the exact variety of deaths being investigated remains unconfirmed, some reviews counsel it could possibly be around forty. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) downgraded the hospital to “requires improvement” in May after whistleblowers prompted an inspection.
Sussex Police stated, “Sussex Police has received allegations of medical negligence on the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, and is at present assessing these allegations. The considerations raised relate to neurosurgery and general surgery in a period between 2015 and 2020. Inquiries are at an early stage and this doesn’t necessarily mean this will lead to criminal prosecution.”
